Happy Days...Indeed the days are...

The first time i happened to see AD of 'Happy Days' on TV before it got released. When i watched it, somewhere in my mind, i felt it will become a big hit movie like "Premadesam". When i heard the songs on FM Radio, i felt who is this guy who is scoring the music just like AR Rehman!

We were unlucky in getting the tickets 2 weeks back for this movie. One fine sunday, suddenly one of my friend, KUMAR called up and said, dude, 6.00pm First Show, Happy Days @ Hitec, r u coming?..i said "why not" :) because i was real free during that time and i was raring to watch that movie with my IIIT friends. In the evening, my friend, HARSHA bought a car and picked me up at chaitanyapuri. I assumed that the journey from Dilsuknagar to Hitec city would take atleast 1 hour on a sunday evening. All my assumptions were proved wrong by Harsha and he took me and dharma in his car within just 30 mins !!! and you know how...he drives the car jet speed when in urgency with 99.99% accuracy. I was sitting beside him like bhramhanandam in 'Nuvvu Naaku Nachav' movie saying 'appandrooyeeeee' kinda :). The ride was really scary but HARSHA had confidence and prior experience of riding this way and reach the destination before time :) !

One by one started chip in to the theater, kumar, ricky, ram, tata, kishore, sameer, visu, and ofcouse harsha, dharma and me. EveryOne was shaking hands with each other and saying "Maava Maava ..:)". Adding to it, Harsha bought DigiCam and we had good snaps too. We went side 10 mins late and the first song of the movie "Ya Kundendhu tusharahara dhavala" and everybody was calm. Slowly the pace of the movie picks up with the introduction of each character and their inborn talents. Chandhu, Rajesh, Arjun (Tyson), Madhu. I believe nobody will remember their original names hereafter they will be called like "HappyDays Tyson" etc :). I am not that good at narrating the story but i felt some of the characters to be similar to my friends like
  • Rajesh's attitude -> Manoj's Attitude
  • Tyson's Voice -> Amaram's Voice
  • Srikakulam born boy -> KC

The ragging by seniors was somewhat similar one done by our seniors :P. The movie was mix of "PremaDesham" and "Dil chahta Hai". It makes you nostalgic especially for the youngsters who are in college and who passed out recently. Since it touches on love, friendship, unity and goals in life, each one feels some similarity with their college days and so you get more attached to the movie. I liked the Rajesh's Telegana slang and humor as well as Tyson's attitude. After watching the movie, i felt like i can watch this movie whenever i want to recollect my college days. And Music, excellent songs! You love hearing them again and again,here is another Rehman in the making! Kudos to the Happy Days Team, shekhar kammula, Micky J Meyer and
the actors in the movie. This movie proves a point that you do not require stardom and money to make a good movie.

After watching the movie, we had a nice dinner at Amaravathi Restaurant and had interesting discussion too. We are discussing things like whats happening in their personal life, higher studies, MBA, working in USA and then stocks etc. Fortunately we didnt discuss abt girlfriends, marriage and stuff like that :) coz time would'nt be sufficient for that as it will be
endless saga :P. After having tasty meal, it was time to go back to our places and before that, hug and say "bye-bye", "keep-in-touch" to friends. Luckily, Harsha was not in a hurry and we had smooth ride way back home...Harsha, thanks for dropping me safe at my place :P. Time to say Good night Guyz!
